Introduction

So on the 9th of August, 2023, I came across on Twitter from the HNG handle about the HNG Internship, and though this was not my first time hearing about the internship, I decided to partake in it.

So on September 6th, almost a month after registering, I received mail from HNG, and this has brought out an exciting journey as a backend development intern. I find myself filled with hopes, intentions, and a burning desire to make a significant impact in the realm of web development using the PHP/Laravel stack. In this article, I will share my aspirations, goals, and the road ahead as I step into the world of backend development. My journey with PHP, a versatile and widely used server-side scripting language, PHP, which stands for Hypertext Preprocessor, has been the backbone of the web for decades. One of my primary intentions as a backend dev intern is to master PHP thoroughly, as I love anything done behind the scenes.
